The BAD TURN Pattern

The answer in front of you is wrong, so you correct it. It accepts the correction and produces the fixed version, and two answers later the same wrong thing is back wearing different clothes. The error is not in the answer you are looking at. Something false entered earlier and everything since has been built on it, correctly, which is why the thread feels excellent all the way down from a starting point that was not true. 17 prompts for locating the turn instead of fixing the output: a trace that quotes the earliest line and is allowed to answer NOT FOUND, a blast radius that sorts what survives from what has to be produced again, the check that stops you acting on a plausible nomination, and the three-way decision at the end. Correcting it again is the one move that does not work.
