The SUCCESSOR Pattern

Forty minutes into a good session it offers you back the thing you killed at minute six, and correcting it in place never removes the thing you are arguing with. So you summarise and start again, and the summary carries the conclusions, because that is what a summary is for. It does not carry the noes, and the noes were the expensive part: the conclusions took a minute each, the rejections took the argument. 17 prompts for ending a long session properly: a five-block brief for the session that takes over, a REFUSED block that quotes your words instead of softening them into preferences, the sweep that finds the refusals it left out and the check that strikes the ones it invented, and the takeover questions the incoming session answers before it is allowed to start. Block 3 is the one you write yourself.
